Gratitude Financial Group

A private wealth advisory practice of Ameriprise Financial Services, LLC

Gratitude Financial Group, located in Cranston, Rhode Island, is a locally and nationally recognized financial planning practice. We serve successful families and individuals using a high-touch, client focused service model through our team of Financial Advisors and Staff. We are among the largest and most rapidly growing Ameriprise-affiliated practice in the nation.

Our story is simple. We are Gratitude Financial Group where our mission is to create greater peace of mind for our clients through financial planning.

The Employee Experience

Our firm is growing through strong referrals from clients, as well as our success in helping retiring advisors transition their clients to a team who will care for them over the long-term. This growth is creating opportunities for members of our team to learn, grow and accept new challenges. Delivering an exceptional client experience is our mission and we expect members of our team to utilize their strengths working collaboratively with team members to deliver on this promise. Culturally, we are hard-working, and like to have a good time together as a tight-knit team. We offer above average compensation and traditional benefits such as health insurance, a retirement plan with employer match, and a subsidy for health club or fitness-related membership. Gratitude Financial Group values the ongoing education of its team members and provides monetary support for licensing and costs associated with obtaining designations such as the CFP, CRPC and CFA.

Position Description and Responsibilities

Candidates should have a strong interest in becoming a Financial Advisor and providing advice to clients on both financial planning and investment topics. They should be interested and take responsibility for both the service and growth aspects of the business. The Client Relationship Manager will learn all aspects of comprehensive financial planning and investment management while serving clients side-by-side with our lead Financial Advisors. This position is designed to evolve into the role of Financial Advisor with full responsibility for leading all aspects of client relationships, and advice. The ideal career path would involve learning the Client Relationship Manager role and achieving Registration through the required FINRA and State licenses. Once Registered, the role will elevate to Registered Paraplanner where there will be expanded opportunity to work independently with clients. These roles act as the quarterback of the client relationship and are therefore well-positioned to build the skills and trust necessary to lead client relationships over time. While the path from Client Relationship Manager and Paraplanner is somewhat self-paced, Gratitude Financial Group’s extensive growth is driving the desire to see the position progress to the Financial Advisor role within 2-3 years. For the individual who joins us with licenses and relatable financial services experience, this timeline could be significantly compressed.

Responsibilities of the Client Relationship Manager include:

Participate actively in client meetings

o Capture and document recommendations and key decisions

o Document conversation with client and any necessary compliance topics

o Communicate planning and investment topics with clients as skills develop. Our goal is for the Client Service Manager, and eventual Paraplanner, to develop the ability to run an entire client meeting with the lead Advisors providing minimal support.

Analyze client situations in preparation for comprehensive client meetings

o Design customized financial plans to help client achieve their life goals (ie. retirement, education)

o Identify, calculate, and prioritize client -specific planning opportunities

o Create illustrations for education, insurance, tax and estate planning topics using Ameriprise and Gratitude Wealth Advisors proprietary tools

o Research client-specific planning opportunities, identify potential solution and prioritize execution

Construct custom client investment portfolios

o Review client-specific portfolio allocations and identify opportunities for diversification and rebalancing

o Draft investment recommendations to implement portfolio changes and optimize lifetime tax

o Assist clients with making changes in outside accounts

o Research client-specific investment opportunities in outside accounts and contracts

Implement client opportunities with exceptional service

o Write client correspondence documenting follow up items from client meetings

o Assist clients independently with implementation of specific planning and investment strategies. Communicate in-person, by video, by phone, and by email depending on circumstances.

o Support periodic campaign-style outreach to clients based on market volatility and relative asset class valuations

o Coordinate administrative topics for clients by providing clear direction to the Gratitude Financial Group support team and outside professionals (CPAs, estate planning attorneys, mortgage bankers, insurance professionals, and third-party administrators)

This position is 100% in the office with no flexibility.

o The minimum hours are 8:30am to 5pm.

o Lead advisor and client needs must be met each day, occasional additional hours will be required.

o Occasional evening meetings will be required.

o Occasional weekend work will be required.
